Greece has decided to postpone the decision to increase the minimum amount of investment needed for the Golden Visa.

The decision to delay the increase in the minimum investment amount for the Golden Visa has been made for certain regions of Greece, meaning that individuals wishing to obtain a visa can still invest €250,000 instead of €500,000 until July 1.

The announcement of the increase in the minimum investment for the Golden Visa Program made by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis several weeks ago had led to a surge in applications.

However, the decision to postpone the implementation of the new investment amount has now been made.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum, the number of Golden Visa applications increased significantly, reaching a total of 1,446 requests in January and February of this year, which is a 252% surge compared to the 411 applications recorded during the same period last year.
